Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to class?

Comfortable clothing that does not hinder movement is appropriate for all of our classes. No shoes are needed for Modern and Improv classes. Socks or ballet shoes are recommended for ballet class. For your safety and the safety of others, please avoid clothing with zippers and buttons as well as large items of jewelry. Also remember to bring a water bottle to class!

What age are your classes catered towards?

Our classes are all adult classes, so any adult or teenager 16 and up can attend. If you are under 18 we will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver for you. There is no upper age limit for our students and we welcome anyone who has started dancing later in life!

What is your sick policy?

If you are not feeling well, we ask that you stay home. If you miss class, your payment will be refunded so we would prefer to wait to see you until you are healthy. Students are welcome to wear masks or other face coverings if they would like.

What is your inclement weather policy?

We will make a decision the night before or the day of class, if we need to cancel. Check our Instagram account for the most up-to-date information about classes!

I forgot to sign up for class ahead of time, can I still attend?

Yes! You are still welcome and the teacher will get you signed up when you arrive. You can pay for the class then, or use a pass that is associated with your account.

I missed class after I already registered and paid, how do I get a refund?

The teacher will remove you from the class on our scheduling app and you should receive a refund without any penalty. If you have a 5-class pass, then the class will be credited back to your pass. If you have any questions or issues with a refund, please contact us at circlemoderndance@gmail.com and we are happy to help.

How will I know what teacher I will have for class?

You can find information on the teachers scheduled for the semester on our website and in our social media posts. If we know a teacher change ahead of time, we will post it on our Instagram account. Sometimes a teacher needs to call out at the last minute, and then Circle Modern Dance will find a substitute. All of our teachers will introduce themselves at the beginning of the class.

Will I be on the Instagram reels?

We take videos of our classes to post on our Instagram, but we will always let dancers know that we are filming and ask if anyone does not want to be in the video. If you were filmed and later would like to not be on our Instagram, please email us at circlemoderndance@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram and we are happy to edit the video or take it down. The waiver that is included with your account on our class scheduler also includes a photo release, but we will still ask before we film anything in our classes. If you take a video or picture from class and want to tag us in it, we would love to see it and share it on our stories!
