Get Involved

We are a community of dancers and choreographers, but like any community organization, Circle wouldn’t exist without the support of our awesome volunteers!

To keep working toward our mission, the Circle is always expanding to include visual artists, musicians, grant writers, web designers, community leaders, business owners, core and board members, social media marketers, parents, children, pets, and more. No matter who you are, there are so many different ways to get involved with Circle Modern Dance.

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Circle? Here are some ways you can join!

If you feel inclined, please donate to keep the Circle unbroken!

For over three decades, we have provided affordable dance education and performance opportunities to the Knoxville community, and we couldn’t do it without your support and generosity.

Have you never danced before in your life?
Are you wondering how to get started as an adult beginner?
Are you new to Knoxville and looking for your new creative community?
Maybe you’ve been dancing for years but aged out of your childhood studio and are looking for your next home.
Did you burn out on dance earlier in your life because your old dance company had unrealistic expectations? (We get it.)
Or maybe you’re just looking for something fun to do on the weekends to make new friends and show your body some love!

Whoever you are, wherever you came from, no matter what is going on in your life…

You are invited to come dance with us!

Your first class is always FREE! Click here to see our class schedule and sign up.

Our mission is to provide performance opportunities for local artists of all disciplines. We do much more than just dance.

What’s your creative vision? Contact us! Let’s make something together.

Choreographers are always invited to submit proposals for our annual December show, Primitive Light, which features live music and guest artists from all around town, and our bi-annual summer performance! The best way to introduce yourself is to attend one of our summer or winter open house events. Check out the Upcoming Events page!

Volunteer to take tickets at shows or serve refreshments, join the core or board, intern with us, work on design and publicity projects, help us with grants and event planning!
