DANCE WORKSHOPS with MARK LAMB
Friday, Oct. 12: CONTACT IMPROVISATION
A dance technique in which points of physical contact provide the starting point for exploration through movement improvisation. During this class we will explore kinetic awareness of our bodies in space, alone and with a partner, and develop basic skills through light touch, weight sharing, and exploring a greater sense of play. 6:30 pm—8:00 pm
Sunday, Oct. 14: INSIDE OUT, MOVING IN THE MOMENT
An exploration of ways to generate movement in the moment, along with improvising text and personal story. Together we will explore the possibilities of movement invention while moving non-judgmentally and with a deep sense of play. The Mark Lamb Dance method asks that its participants remember key and telling experiences from their own lives. Dance, storytelling, and conversation all co-mingle. 1:00 pm—4:00 pm
